We're looking for a
seasoned Backend Engineer
to join an agile team and play a key role in designing and maintaining the core services that power its AI-driven platform. You'll work with modern technologies, contribute directly to improving healthcare delivery, and collaborate closely with Product, Design, and AI teams.
What you'll do
- Design and implement backend services in
Python (FastAPI preferred) - Build and document clear, reliable
REST APIs
for web and mobile applications - Package and deploy services with
Docker
, automating deployments to
AWS - Design schemas, write queries, and optimize performance in
PostgreSQL - Manage flexible, unstructured data using
MongoDB - Write tests, add logs and alerts, and monitor system performance and uptime
- Proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact users
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, AI) to deliver meaningful improvements every week
Requirements
- Strong professional experience with
Python backend development
(FastAPI preferred) - Hands-on experience with
containerized deployments (Docker) on AWS - Solid database knowledge with
PostgreSQL
and
MongoDB - Proven track record of building and maintaining scalable backend services
- Portuguese and english are a must
Nice to have
- Experience in healthcare or related industries
- Interest in
Large Language Models (LLMs)
and NLP technologies (no need to be an expert)
