About Aprendizes

Aprendizes, in Cascais, Portugal, is an independent school for ages 3–18. Guided by the vision "Together, we Educate for Change," we develop active global citizens through bilingual, student-centered learning connected to real-world issues. Our campus, near Sintra National Park, offers inspiring views of the mountains and Guincho Beach, promoting sustainability and environmental awareness. We follow the Portuguese National Curriculum (preschool–grade 4) and the Cambridge International Curriculum (grades 5–12). Our community includes 600 students, 130 staff, and families from 40+ nationalities.

What We're Looking For

We seek dedicated and experienced teachers within the area of
Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Management, Media, Business, IT, Global Perspective, History, Sociology, Psychology, Arts and Design, Design and Technology, Music, English, Portuguese, Spanish, French
and
PE
to inspire students, foster a love of learning, and ensure excellence in teaching.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in teaching/subject area
  • Recognized teaching qualification and relevant experience
  • Experience with Cambridge or another national/international curriculum
  • Strong classroom management and curriculum skills
  • Skilled in active and project-based learning
  • Fluent in English (Portuguese a plus)
  • Digital literacy and ability to build supportive relationships with students and families
