Social Media Manager (Part-Time, 20h/week)

Location: Lisbon (Hybrid / On-site for content capture)

Hours: 20 hours per week

About Wheelhouse

Wheelhouse is a creative wellness hub in Lisbon - a space for movement, conversation, co-working, and conscious community. We host workshops, talks, sound journeys, and cultural programming, alongside a café and shared working environment.

Our focus is not scale for scale's sake, but depth, connection, and consistency.

We're looking for a Social Media Manager who understands that social media is not just about content - it's about community.

The Role

We're hiring a part-time Social Media Manager to own our social presence end-to-end. This is a hands-on role for someone who can plan, capture, create, post, engage, and report - while staying true to the Wheelhouse tone and values.

You'll work closely with the General Manager and Director of Outreach, translating what's happening in the space into authentic, thoughtful content across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage content across Instagram, newsletter, and WhatsApp community groups
  • Capture content on-site (events, workshops, daily moments) without disrupting the guest experience
  • Create short-form video, graphics, and written content aligned with the Wheelhouse vibe
  • Write clear, warm, community-driven copy
  • Manage posting schedules and ensure consistency
  • Engage with the community through comments, DMs, and replies
  • Collaborate with the team on campaigns, launches, and offers
  • Track and report on performance monthly (engagement, reach, saves, clicks, growth)
  • Use Figma and other tools to design simple, on-brand visuals

What We're Looking For

  • Experience managing social media accounts, with strong emphasis on community-building
  • Strong copywriting, video editing, and graphic design skills
  • Confident capturing and creating content in real, live environments
  • Comfortable working independently and managing your own time
  • Interest in wellness, culture and community-led spaces
  • Based in Lisbon
  • Comfortable with reporting and sharing insights, not just posting content
