Project

The SRE Lead will join the Next Gen Production team, within the client Office. The Next Gen Production team supports the APS teams in the adoption of new tools and the modernization of production practices (Automation, Monitoring, Cloud, SRE, DevOps, Agile Production).
In Next Gen Production transformation team, the SRE lead will be integrated into a multidisciplinary transformation team, working in project mode.
contribute to the implementation of IT Production's worldwide SRE model and will spread SRE expertise across locations: Paris, Chennai, Lisbon. He will support managers in the recruitment of SREs, the curation of training courses, the personalized coaching of SREs on the field, the passing on of practices and the evaluation of their application.

Role

  • Train SREs and their managers on SRE practices 
  • Coach and support: transmit an SRE mindset based on Agile and DevOps approaches, be on the field on a daily basis with the SRE (1 to 1 meetings) to identify areas for improvement on the IT production of the application, support the SRE on the implementation of solutions so that the SRE increases its skills, evaluate the increase of the practices maturity.
  • Participate in the recruitment of SREs and their evaluation: administer recruitment tests, give feedback to the hiring manager
  • Co-construct the transformation strategy and the support plan by participating in workshops, brainstorming with the transformation team and producing training content

We are looking for

  • Solid understanding of SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) practices and IT production processes
  • Strong Agile/DevOps mindset with proven problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in scripting languages: Python, YML, Shell
  • Experience with monitoring tools: Dynatrace, Nagios
  • Good knowledge of Linux operating systems
  • Familiarity with network administration: DNS, Firewalls, Switches
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools: Git & Git Flow, Artifactory, Jenkins or GitLab CI, Ansible Tower, Release
  • Experience with cloud-native technologies: Kubernetes, Docker, Argo CD, Vault, Helm
  • Understanding of end-to-end IT processes, from development to operations
  • Strong grasp of technical architecture principles
