Job Description

Summary

As an Azure Data Engineer specialized in Microsoft Azure tools, you will support the implementation of projects focused on collecting, aggregating, storing, reconciling, and making data accessible from disparate sources to enable analysis and decision making.

This role will also play a critical part in the data supply chain, by ensuring stakeholders can access and manipulate data for routine and ad hoc analysis. Additionally, you will support the full lifecycle of data from ingesting through analytics to action.

As a member of the Data Engineering team, you'll have access to the research, knowledge, and tools to create leading-edge solutions across Avanade's Business Intelligence practice. The role of Data Engineer is perfect for ambitious technologists passionate about working with the latest Microsoft cloud technology and Microsoft experts. Our clients look to us for innovation, which means you'll have early access to the newest Microsoft technologies so you can master them and stay ahead of the curve.

Key Responsabilities

  • Development, delivery, and support of enterprise-grade analytics solutions based on Azure and Databricks technologies
  • Working on high profile projects with well-known clients across various sectors
  • Constantly develop technical skills in the latest Azure and Databricks technologies - achieving & maintaining relevant certifications

Qualification

Experience Required for Success:

  • Existing experience in Data Engineering, ideally with large volumes of data (working with T-SQL)
  • Experience in working with the latest Azure technologies, such as; Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage (Gen 2), Cosmos DB
  • Understanding of software engineering tools and concepts including coding experience in languages such as Python, Scala, or Pyspark
  • Confident communicator who is able to report progress and challenges effectively
  • Nice-to-have knowledge of Power BI solutions.
