We are looking for a Financial Partner to the General Manager of our "General Classifieds" Business Unit, Sylvie De Wever. This portfolio serves millions of consumers monthly, offering a vast array of products and services across Europe. The "General Classifieds" business is at a critical inflection point, requiring a strategic financial leader to navigate a varied portfolio of categories, each with unique opportunities and challenges.
To accomplish this, OLX is seeking an individual who will play a pivotal role in driving the financial success of "General Classifieds" and will work closely with the General Manager and the Leadership Team to provide strategic financial insights, drive business growth, and ensure operational efficiency. By partnering with internal teams, the Finance Business Partner will ensure that financial planning and decision-making are aligned with OLX's goals, enabling us to continue leading in the online marketplace.

The role will report directly to OLX's Chief Financial Officer, Suresh Krishnan, and can be based in any of the locations where OLX has operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Deep Market & Financial Insight: Cultivate a profound understanding of category KPIs, market dynamics, and financial risks across a diverse portfolio. You will specifically address critical strategic questions for key verticals: Jobs, Car Parts, Goods, Services, Advertising.
- Pricing & Financial Expertise: Act as the finance partner by managing platform SKU analysis, revenue forecasting, and budget control to optimize performance. You will architect and deliver on a realistic but stretchy financial plan focused on sustainable growth and profitability.
- Commercial Impact & Analytical Acumen: Enhance sales team efficiency through data-driven insights, optimizing revenue and managing marketing spend for profitability.
- Strategic & Collaborative Partnership: Collaborate closely with the GM on long-term planning and M&A opportunities. A key focus will be building conviction around investments and strategies to future-proof the business against disruption from Agentic AI-driven search, ensuring our horizontal strengths remain relevant in a changing digital landscape.
- Effective Communication & Problem Solving: Lead category Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews, support pricing MBRs, addressing challenges with innovative solutions.
- Category Growth Facilitator: Enable category expansion by identifying growth opportunities, aligning financial strategies, and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Partner to the GM: Share goals with the GM, act as a thought partner, and challenge the GM when needed.
- Relevant Business Acumen and Background: 10+ years of experience in working in a Finance leadership role, supporting business growth. Understanding of the technology-driven businesses/e-commerce/marketplace and/or classifieds sector is required. Experience managing complex, multi-vertical portfolios is a plus.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in financial analysis, modelling, and accounting principles. Adept in data analytics for generating insights and driving performance.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication abilities & problem-solving skills to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights. Build collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Align financial recommendations with business goals through strategic insight. Solve complex problems with innovative solutions and maintain a practical approach. Ability to think strategically about disruptive technologies (like AI) and competitive market shifts.
- Educational Background: University degree in a relevant field.
- Adaptability and Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry advancements and technological tools. Engage in continuous learning to enhance knowledge and expertise.
