Department Overview

• The position is to be fulfilled in the RISK function of the group, more precisely in the transversal stream.

The missions of the team includes:

• Developing methodologies, models and back-testing capabilities for market, counterparty, and credit risks
• Elaborating ratings and policies
• Delivering market and counterparty risk systems
• Contributing to the industrialization of Risk processes and systems

The responsibility for delivering enhancements to the system is split into three poles:

• Applications Services is responsible for the user interfaces;
• Data Services is responsible for data integration, data storage, data extraction and data governance;
• Calculation Services is responsible for the implementation of the risk calculation frameworks.

Team Overview:

• The IT DevOps team inside Risk Systems provides an enterprise DevOps solution to 7 tribes in MCL cluster to accelerate high-quality software delivery by adopting the latest technological innovations & an agile-inspired approach.
• Risk Systems is split into multidisciplinary squads implementing Scrum inside the SAFE agile methodology. It works on three month Program Increments and two-week sprints, following all the ceremonies typical of Scrum and SAFE.
• The successful candidate will have enthusiasm for learning and working closely with the rest of development team which is located in other country's. The candidate should expect to work on larger complicated projects with several other developers but should be flexible enough to switch to smaller scale enhancements if required.

Job Description:

• The role is for a position within the Risk Systems – DevOps team based in London.
• As a Senior DevOps Engineer, candidate will be part of a talented team of Engineers that demonstrate technical competency and deliver mission critical infrastructure that ensures high level of availability, performance, and latency.
• Will be working with like-minded professionals who plan, deploy, and maintain business critical applications, with close contact to many different stakeholders like, Software developers, Testers, Business Analysts, IT Infrastructure Operations, Application Owners, IT Security, among others.
• Primary focus will be the deployment automation by following One Click deployment and zero manual activities practices and build automation for creating immutable infra.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• The successful candidate will be expected to fulfil the role of a Market Risk Measures Python developer as follows:
• Design, develop and implement systems software that improves the stability, scalability, availability, and latency of the Risk system applications.
• Implement the best-in-class Continuous delivery and one click framework to accomplish end-to-end delivery without manual intervention.
• Build and maintain Ansible playbooks and terraform to automate provisioning, configuration, and deployments.

Technical Skills:

• Required:
• Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent industry experience
• At least 5 years of Experience in DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of Ansible.
• Knowledge of continuous integration tools (TeamCity, Maven, Artifactory)
• Experience in setting up CI&CD pipeline for Java or python applications.
• Proven foundation in Linux administration and troubleshooting

• Work experience in reverse proxy servers (Apache httpd)

• Good to have:

• Jenkins setting up pipeline using Groovy scripts and Jenkins shard library.

• Docker and Kubernetes knowledge

• Nice to have:

• Solid experience in at least one programming language. Python is a plus.
• Additional experience in OpenStack, Networking, Security and Storage is desirable.
• Knowledge of cloud computing fundamental and Cloud native applications
