Performs procurement and sourcing functions which may include but are not limited to short and long-term category strategy development, supplier development and innovation enablement, commodity/services/goods procurement, outsourcing and vendor selection as well as project material sourcing/ planning/scheduling. Creates efficient integrated processes among internal functions and outside suppliers providing an efficient and transparent internal customer experience, compliant with quality assurance and sustainability requirements. Focuses resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various processes and establishes key performance metrics and benchmarks to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis. Promotes alignment by understanding and communicating business and customers needs and requirements through the organization.

• Ensure thorough MRP management, review and execution of purchase requisitions and purchase orders, vendor scheduling, inventory reporting and inventory positioning.
• Manage assigned purchasing categories, including category analysis, creation of schedule agreements, PO conversion, and management of vendor queries.
• Work closely with other supply chain personnel and other key departments across the Group, namely HSE, Quality, Manufacturing, Technical Services and Engineering, to ensure high levels of customer service. If at site level, work closely with corporate purchasing and supply chain to ensure close links result in the needs of the site being met, developing contingency plans where appropriate to meet site Customer Service targets.
• Liaise with internal customers to prepare weekly and annual purchasing and shipping schedules and ensure that targets are met.
• Monitor production plans/ performance weekly and realign to ensure that the purchasing strategy fully supports both production and project targets.
• Develop and report on KPI's for cost savings and continuous improvement where relevant.
• Manage and rightsized the relevant suppliers' base in order to achieve the objectives of the Purchasing business plan in terms of financial performance, supplier quality, supply chain efficiency, security and sustainability.
• Seek and obtain to Hovione the best possible technological solutions to support and drive the business development.
• Interact with the internal organization by engaging with project teams in early development phases thereby optimizing the impact of the purchasing activity. Source all types of direct and indirect materials and services and provide advanced supply chain analysis (quality, cost, and volumes).
• Proactively seek and suggest improvement opportunities to the plan (cost and quality) and processes / procedures for best operational practices.
• Contribute to the definition of the annual business plan of the Purchasing area and the deployment of the purchasing strategy related to the categories under management.
• Coordinate the TMs assigned to his/her area of responsibility, namely in terms of recruitment, integration, training needs and performance management in accordance with the company's HR policies, in order to ensure all TMs are aligned and motivated towards achieving Hovione's goals, values and culture by promoting their personal and professional development whilst maximizing productivity.

• Typically requires 5 years of relevant experience in complex and competitive industries, preferably in large corporations.
• Experience in procurement management on a pharmaceutical or manufacturing plant is mandatory.
• Engineering or related background
• Experience in leading others in project context
• Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask.
• Track record of overachieving targets
• Possess solid knowledge of procurement management principles and practices
• Strong negotiation skills
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Skilled at managing processes and tools
• Fluency in English is a requirement
