Position Overview
We are looking for a
Linux System Administrator
to join our operations team in one of our brands in Portugal (
PTisp).
Your mission will be to ensure that our infrastructure and services are fast, secure, and reliable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administration and maintenance of Unix/Linux systems in a production environment
- Management and monitoring of critical services (web, email, databases)
- Troubleshooting and solving issues
- Collaborating with the team to continuously improve infrastructure security, performance, and reliability
Requirements:
- Proven experience with Unix/Linux operating systems
- Knowledge of DBMS (MySQL)
- Experience with LAMP/LEMP stacks (including HTTP protocol)
- Understanding of email protocols and related services
- Basic knowledge of DNS fundamentals
Nice to have:
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with shared hosting panels (cPanel, Plesk)
- Knowledge of backup systems (R1Soft, Acronis, Veeam, Proxmox Backup Server, JetBackup)
- Experience with configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible)
- Virtualization and containerization (KVM, LXC, Docker)
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana)
- NoSQL systems (Redis, MongoDB)
- Open-source published projects/contributions.
