Job Description
This role is focused on assisting with the immigration requirements of our clients' employees. It involves ensuring adherence to Immigration Laws and Regulationss and delivering outstanding client service. The caseworker plays a vital role, whether they are assigned to a global account or a specific geographic region. They engage in close collaboration with clients, individual employees, legal teams, government entities, and various stakeholders. This collaboration is essential for facilitating efficient and well-coordinated immigration processes. The caseworker's responsibilities are crucial in managing the complexities of immigration procedures and ensuring successful outcomes for all parties involved.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively assist to manage the immigration process for a portfolio of clients from beginning to end, according to the agreed procedures and for all type of work and residence permits;
- Prepares, files and follows up on work & residence permit applications;
- Ensures compliance in Portugal regarding immigration procedures;
- Coordinates solution-oriented immigration processes and ensures deadlines are met;
- Informs all parties on the necessary immigration steps to be taken in an effective and efficient way;
- Works structured, pro-actively, precisely and manages expectations;
- Meet and communicates effectively with immigration authorities;
- Organizes translations and/or legalizations, if necessary;
- Support the tax team when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in any field;
- Open to applicants with relevant working experience, fresh graduates are welcome to apply, and other immigration and consulting experience will be considered as well;
- Strong written and verbal communicational and interpersonal skills;
- Fluency in English and Portuguese;
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Good ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines;
- Team player, positive attitude;
- Client service focused, responsive and "can-do" open-minded attitude and approach;
- Strong organizational skills, proactive approach.
Additional Information
-This is a hybrid role, with an expectation of a minimum of 2 or 3 days/week in the office. Location: Lisbon
