Job Overview

  • We're looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team and ensure the highest standards of food safety, compliance, and product quality at kencko.
  • You will collaborate closely with the Quality, R&D, and Production teams, supporting audits, validating equipment and processes, and making sure our products meet internal and external standards.

This Quality Specialist role reports to the Head Of Quality Assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate data and evidence from production and laboratory, detect deviations from standards, investigate root causes, and assess the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Control, evaluate, and approve suppliers, including validation of technical sheets for new ingredients.
  • Elaborate, review, and update product technical sheets, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Elaborate and manage supplier complaints, ensuring appropriate investigation, documentation, and resolution.
  • Oversee calibration of equipment and validate new equipment and quality control processes to guarantee accuracy, reliability, and compliance.
  • Conduct and analyse product stability tests, monitoring results and reporting findings to relevant teams.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, including regulatory and certification bodies. 
  • Provide training to colleagues on food safety, quality standards, and product defects;
  • Support internal quality and food safety audits across departments such as packing, FF, and warehouse.
  • Support R&D and Production teams in implementing quality and food safety measures.
  • Contribute to new projects and daily routines within the Quality team, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance with all standards.

Experience You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Food, Chemical or Biological Engineering, Nutrition, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Regulatory, or Quality Management in food industries or related sectors.
  • Experience with FDA and HACCP (mandatory), ISO 9001, ISO 22000, IFS, BRC and USDA (nice to have).
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Experience in the validation of equipment, processes, or quality systems is a plus.
  • Previous experience with lyophilization or flash freezing processes is a plus
