The Work You'll Do:

As a Product Owner focused on ISV (Independent Software Vendor) functionality, you will be responsible for ensuring that market and product requirements are appropriately reflected and implemented in finished products that enable our embedded partners to seamlessly integrate Sovos solutions into their platforms. This largely inward-facing role serves as the main liaison between product marketing, product management, and the engineering team. You will be an expert on the functionality of our ISV and embedded products, supporting other groups such as sales engineering, implementation, and technical support/customer service.

More specifically, you will:

• Serve as main liaison between product management and the engineering team, understanding the product strategy as defined by product management with a focus on ISV and embedded functionality
• Collect product requirements from key buyer audiences, ISV partners, and end users
• Coordinate the creation of product mockups and prototypes for embedded solutions
• Fulfil the "product owner role," principally responsible for prioritisation and maintaining (or grooming) a backlog which maximises outcomes aligned with the product strategy (roadmap) for one or multiple agile development teams
• Write and present the product requirements document
• Oversee and sign off on the functional spec
• Oversee the product as it is being built by development/engineering
• Communicate with stakeholders during the development of a product to keep them updated
• Coordinate testing of a product, including user acceptance testing, alpha and beta programmes
• Collect, coordinate, and prioritise bug fixes

You will collaborate closely with Product Development/Engineering, UX/Product Design, Regulatory Analysis, Customer Support, Professional Services, and Product Marketing.

What We Need From You

• 4+ years in a related field
• Experience in B2B SaaS business analysis or product development preferred
• Complete understanding of the "Product Owner" role
• Experience with ISV partnerships, embedded solutions, or API-driven products is highly desirable
• Ability to balance gut-feel judgement and logical analysis; willingness to make decisions decisively
• Able to mentor and advise other scrum teams and team members, especially on the Product Owner role
• Ability to fulfil the "Product Owner" role effectively (maximising outcomes per roadmap) without day-to-day support for multiple teams
• Consistently ensures alignment by engaging stakeholders at the right time and using a wide range of communication techniques to paint a clear picture of 'why, how, and when'
• Optimises priorities and scope to ensure maximum value is delivered (maximise outcomes, not outputs)
