QA Automation EngineerLocation: Lisbon / OeirasWe are partnering with a well-established SaaS company in Lisbon that delivers enterprise-grade fleet management software to rental, leasing, and mobility organizations worldwide. The company is backed by solid investment and is currently modernizing its platform and engineering practices, including building a fully automated QA approach. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the automation strategy, improve testing efficiency and contribute to the quality of a globally used product.The roleAs a QA Automation Engineer, you will lead the transition from manual QA to a fully automated regression testing strategy, ensuring high-quality releases across frontend, backend, and API layers. You will work closely with frontend and backend engineers to define test strategies, implement automation frameworks, and integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipelines.Key responsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and execute automated tests using Playwright for frontend (Vue) and backend (.NET) applicationsCollaborate with FE/BE engineers to define acceptance criteria and ensure comprehensive coverage of end-to-end user journeysTransform existing manual test cases into automated regression testsIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub ActionsIdentify, track, and report defects, ensuring reproducibility and verifying fixesContribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation frameworks, and test coverageSupport release validation and regression cycles for multiple modules and APIsAdvocate for best practices in test automation and quality assuranceRequired experience and skills3+ years of experience in software testing, preferably with some automation exposureStrong hands-on experience with Playwright or similar automation frameworksFamiliarity with CI/CD integration, preferably using GitHub ActionsKnowledge of testing Vue.js frontend applications and .NET backend servicesUnderstanding of test automation best practices, design patterns, and maintainable test codeExperience with end-to-end testing, API testing, and regression testing strategiesProficiency with Git and agile/Scrum workflowsGood analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsFluency in EnglishNice to haveExperience with test management tools like ZephyrExposure to other testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress)Experience in SaaS, mobility, or enterprise software productsKnowledge of DDD, SOLID principles, or software architecture conceptsBenefitsHealth insurance for the employee and children under 18 (after 3 months)Gym membership (after 3 months)Coverflex Card (flexible benefits)Meal allowance paid via Coverflex CardExtra day of holiday on your birthday (if it falls on a working day)Extra holiday day for every 5 years of employment2 days per year for volunteering / charity workFree coffee and fresh fruit at the officeMonthly team lunch on the last Thursday of each monthAnnual performance bonusThis role is ideal for QA engineers who want to own automation strategy and help transform a manual QA process into a fully automated, reliable, and maintainable testing framework.
