Production & Batch Operations Engineer (L2 – MCO)

We are looking for a Production & Batch Operations Engineer (L2) to ensure the operability, stability, and performance of solutions in RUN / OPEN environments.This role is strongly focused on batch scheduling, production monitoring, incident management, and continuous improvement, acting as Level 2 Support (N2) and working closely with application, project, and DevOps teams.Key ResponsibilitiesRUN & Operability (MCO – L2)Ensure operability of solutions in RUN / OPEN environmentsMaintain CMDB updates, operational documentation, and follow-up on:ObsolescenceVulnerability managementAct as Level 2 Support (N2) for production issuesScheduling & MonitoringDefine, plan, and execute batch jobs using Control-MMonitor processing workflows in real timeRespond to incidents such as:AbendsDependency anomaliesSLA breachesDaily Production OperationsLaunch and monitor production processes in OPEN environments and Control-MPerform incident recovery and batch restartsManage or coordinate interventions on system resources:Disk spaceQueuesCatalogsMonitor file transfers and handle related incidentsSupport & Continuous ImprovementProvide technical support to application teamsOptimize batch processing chains and reduce execution timesParticipate in production releases and change managementPerform scheduled and on-call (HNO) interventionsAct as a Technical Integrator between projects and productionSupport solution delivery in coordination with Project Managers / ScrumOpsDocumentation & ReportingWrite and maintain operational procedures and runbooksKeep documentation up to dateProduce availability and performance reports for batch processingRequired Skills & ExperienceSolid experience in IT Production / OperationsStrong experience with batch scheduling tools, ideally Control-MExperience working in RUN / OPEN environmentsGood knowledge of incident, problem, and change managementUnderstanding of DevOps best practices:Language SkillsFrench – B2 level (mandatory)English – B2 level (mandatory)Hybrid Work: 2/3x in the office in Lisbon
