We are looking for a skilled and driven Backend Engineer to join one of our Engineering teams, focusing on our Third Party Risk Management business. Our product enables some of the world's most security conscious organizations to manage the cybersecurity risks of their vendor ecosystems, leveraging Bitsight's unique data, insights, and robust workflows (questionnaires, artifact exchanges, messages, and more).As a Software Engineer, you're known for thinking on your feet, learning quickly, and owning problems through to resolution. You enjoy solving complex challenges and actively contribute new ideas, tools, and techniques that lead to team-wide improvement. You thrive in a collaborative environment and seek better ways to deliver high-quality software in a high-trust engineering culture.Beyond technical and domain-specific skills, we value strong generalists: critical thinkers who can navigate a variety of tools and technologies, pick up new concepts as needed, and remain adaptable. Relevant experience (up to 3 years) in a similar role or strong academic/project background.Familiarity with Python, or another modern backend language, and experience with building REST APIs.Understanding of code testing and quality practices.Familiar with the full development lifecycle, from planning and implementation to testing and deployment.Bonus experience:Experience with FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and PostgreSQL.Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and microservices architectures.
