Are you passionate about Linux infrastructure, automation, and ensuring systems run smoothly and securely?We're hiring an experienced Red Hat Enterprise Linux Engineer to join our team in Porto. You'll manage, configure, and troubleshoot Linux servers, storage systems, and VMware environments — all while using automation to make processes seamless and efficient. What do you need to be a SMART Linux Engineer?5+ years of experience in Linux systems administration (Red Hat preferred)Hands-on experience with Linux clusteringStrong knowledge of automation tools and processesExperience managing VMware serversExperience managing Storage Servers and SAN switchesSolid understanding of infrastructure services and networking topologiesSkilled in troubleshooting and optimizing Linux environmentsStrong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsFluent in English (written and oral)Self-driven, motivated, and a collaborative team playerAbility to learn and apply new concepts quickly What will your role at SMART be?Manage, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot Linux servers in stand-alone or clustered environmentsEnsure that all changes on Linux servers are properly managed through automationApply and enforce security policies and compliance rules across the infrastructureManage, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot Storage Servers, SAN switches, and VMware serversCollaborate with other teams to implement business requirements and ensure proper network connectivityMonitor server availability, performance, and security to meet business needs Nice to HaveExperience with advanced automation frameworks (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.)Previous involvement with high-availability Linux clustersKnowledge of cloud platforms or hybrid environments Why be SMART?We turn complex infrastructure challenges into efficient, reliable solutionsWe love what we do and take pride in doing it wellWe value simplicity, efficiency, and focusWe invest in people first — your growth is our priority Where can you be SMART?Work model: Hybrid (3x per week on-site in Porto)Location requirement: Porto, Portugal
