Database Administrator vacancy in Braga Portugal Contract Database Administrator (DBA) in Braga, Portugal
We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team on a contract basis in Braga, Portugal. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in database management and administration, with a strong understanding of SQL and database design principles.
Responsibilities
Ensure the security, integrity, and performance of company databases
Monitor and maintain database systems to ensure reliable data access and efficient operation
Troubleshoot and resolve any database-related issues or errors
Develop, implement, and maintain backup and recovery procedures
Collaborate with developers to optimize database structures for performance
Perform regular maintenance tasks such as data purging and index rebuilding
Keep up-to-date with new database technologies and industry trends
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
Proficient in SQL and database design principles (e.g. normalization)
Experience with database administration tools (e.g. SQL Server Management Studio)
Familiarity with database security best practices
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g. AWS RDS)
Knowledge of ETL processes and tools (e.g. SSIS)
Salary The salary for this position is 1600$ per month.
Location This role is located in Braga, Portugal.
Contract job This is a contract position for a specific duration of time.
Experience required A minimum of 2 years experience as a Database Administrator is required for this role.
