Senior DevOps

Are you an experienced DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer passionate about building reliable, scalable, and highly available cloud platforms?

We're looking for a Senior DevOps / SRE Engineer to join an international technology environment and play a key role in improving the reliability, performance, security, and scalability of cloud-native systems.

You'll work closely with development and engineering teams, combining AWS, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, observability, and SRE best practices to ensure resilient and efficient production environments.

Working Model: 100% Remote

Location: Candidates must be based and living in Portugal

Language: Fluency in French OR English is required for this position.

Industry Experience: Previous experience in the betting, iGaming, or online gambling industry is highly valued and considered an important requirement for this opportunity.

Availability: Due to the project timeline, candidates should ideally have a notice period of less than 30 days.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS. - Improve production reliability using SRE principles, including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets. - Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable, and secure software delivery. - Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code tools. - Manage and optimize containerized environments using Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm. - Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or Splunk. - Lead and support incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortems, driving continuous improvements. - Improve system performance, scalability, capacity planning, and disaster recovery processes. - Work closely with development teams to improve deployment strategies, platform resilience, and operational efficiency. - Implement infrastructure security best practices, including IAM, secrets management, vulnerability management, and patching. - Define and maintain runbooks, operational standards, technical documentation, and reliability best practices. - Participate in the on-call rotation and provide senior-level support for critical production issues.

What We're Looking For:

- 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, Cloud Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering. - Strong hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native environments. - Strong expertise in Linux administration and troubleshooting. - Proven experience managing Kubernetes in production environments. - Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform. - Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. - Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability platforms. - Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and reverse proxies. - Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash, Python, or similar technologies. - Experience with incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. - Knowledge of SRE methodologies and practices is highly valued. - Previous professional experience within betting, iGaming, online gambling, or similar high-volume transactional environments. - Fluency in French OR English. - Candidates must currently live in Portugal. - Candidates should ideally be available to start with a notice period of less than 30 days.

Nice to Have:

- Experience with additional cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP. - Experience working in multi-cloud environments. - Strong knowledge of cloud security and DevSecOps practices. - Experience with disaster recovery, capacity planning, and performance optimization. - Experience supporting high-volume, real-time, or highly transactional platforms.
