Pull data into the analytical data layer and make it queryable, working closely with the Cloud Engineering team that owns the infrastructure Build interfaces that return answers, including MCP tools, APIs, and dashboards Build checks to ensure returned numbers are accurate and trustworthy Use AI to move quickly and close gaps Pick up new data domains as the team grows, beginning with FinOps Grow into owning metric definitions and stakeholder relationships Requirements
Solid Python and SQL — enough to get things done and debug when they go wrong Comfort working in a greenfield environment where architectural decisions are still being made Builder mentality — you ship things, you don't wait for perfect specs Curious and picks things up fast Experience with ClickHouse or similar analytical databases (nice to have) LLM/MCP tool-use experience (nice to have) BI/dashboarding tooling (nice to have) Cloud billing / FinOps exposure (nice to have) Core Competencies
Proficient in Python and SQL for data manipulation and debugging, with experience in building analytical interfaces and ensuring data accuracy. Familiarity with cloud billing and FinOps, along with a builder mentality to thrive in a greenfield environment. Highest-signal resume keywords
