This role offers a wide-ranging scope, allowing the Management Accountant to actively contribute to process improvements, enhance financial systems, and engage in strategic initiatives, including the integration of potential M&A targets.Job ResponsibilitiesManage all accounting transactions and journals entriesPreparation of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliationsPrepare budget forecastsHandle monthly, quarterly and annual closingsPrepare all consolidation output and templates for Group reportingReconcile accounts payable and receivableEnsure timely bank paymentsCompute taxes and prepare tax returnsManage balance sheets and profit/loss statementsReport on the company's financial health and liquidityAudit financial transactions and documentsComply with financial policies and regulationsReport to regulators (CMVM)Qualifications6+ years experience as an Accountant, preferably in the Financial Services IndustryRegistered as CC in Ordem dos Contabilistas Certificados (OCC) (Certified Accountant Order)Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plusDegree in Accounting, Finance or related subjectExperience with preparing management accountsExcellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, IFRS, US GAAP is a plus; IFRS (German) is a plusHands-on experience with accounting software like Primavera (experience with NetSuite is a plus)Advanced MS Excel skillsExperience with general ledger functionsStrong attention to detail and good analytical skillsProven multitasking experience, working with multiple tight Group Reporting deadlinesExperience of multi-currency environmentAbility to work independentlyFluency in English is essentialFluency in German is a plus**If you are interested, please send your CV in English.
