About The Role We are looking for a Senior Purchaser (Non-Production Procurement) to join our team at Preh Portugal (Trofa) and play a key role in leading procurement activities for goods and services not directly related to production. You will drive supplier management, cost optimization, procurement strategy, and team development while ensuring operational excellence within a dynamic international automotive environment.
The Challenges In Front Of You
Coordinate the procurement of non-production goods and services across the organization
Develop supplier strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with local and international suppliers
Monitor purchasing performance, prepare reports, and provide data-driven insights to management and headquarters
Drive cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects within procurement processes
Manage workload distribution, performance evaluation, and development of the purchasing team
Collaborate with global procurement functions and ensure compliance with automotive industry standards and company policies
What You Bring To The Table
A degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field
Solid experience in Purchasing or Procurement within an industrial and multinational environment
Proven experience in supplier management, contract negotiation, and procurement strategy
Strong SAP knowledge and excellent analytical skills
Fluency in English; German is a plus
The ability to develop and motivate teams
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
