We Are Hiring: Manual QA / Software Tester Location: Lisbon (Hybrid) Role: Quality Assurance – Manual Testing About the Role: We are looking for a Manual QA Tester to ensure the quality and reliability of software products across multiple layers, including Frontend, Backend, APIs and legacy systems. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, methodical and passionate about delivering high-quality software. You will work closely with developers, business analysts and project managers to validate requirements, identify defects and ensure that applications meet expected quality standards. What You Will Be Doing: Review requirements and design specifications to fully understand system functionality Design and maintain test cases and test plans based on functional and technical requirements Execute manual test cases and document test results Identify, report and track defects throughout their lifecycle Collaborate with development teams to ensure issues are properly resolved Communicate test progress, results and risks to project stakeholders ️ Key Skills & Tools: Manual testing of COBOL systems, Frontend, Backend and APIs Understanding of testing fundamentals (SDLC, testing types, methodologies and techniques) Test case design and execution Defect reporting and tracking SQL for data validation Gherkin / BDD concepts Test automation awareness (nice to have) Jira & Confluence CI/CD concepts Mandatory Requirements: Strong knowledge of software testing fundamentals Proven ability to design effective test cases covering multiple scenarios Experience executing manual tests following test plans Ability to identify, document and track defects with clear reproduction steps and expected behavior Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Developers, BAs, PMs) English B2 Nice to Have: Experience with automation testing Exposure to CI/CD pipelines Experience working in Agile environments
