Location: Remote from Portugal - (project based in Romania) Work Model: 100% Full Remote Language Requirement: English Industry: Banking / Financial Services Project Type: Audit of legacy platforms Project Overview You will join an audit initiative focused on assessing legacy banking platforms and outdated infrastructure, where SharePoint plays a central role in file governance, security, access control, and external/internal sharing compliance. The team already includes a SharePoint Specialist, and this position will act as an additional expert supporting audit evidence collection, document structure analysis, sharing policy validation, and secure collaboration flows. Experience with ThereforeTM (information/document management platform) is considered a strong advantage Key Responsibilities Support an audit project by analyzing and validating SharePoint environments linked to legacy banking platforms Assess file sharing governance between internal teams and external parties Configure, review, and troubleshoot SharePoint file sharing settings (internal and external) Ensure compliance with secure file exchange, permissions, data protection, and audit requirements Map, document, and review existing SharePoint structures, access rules, sharing policies, and file repositories Collaborate with audit teams to extract, organize, and validate documentation and audit evidence Work with stakeholders to support internal/external collaboration and file distribution needs Provide best practices on file governance, retention, secure sharing, and document organization Required Skills & Experience Proven experience as a SharePoint Specialist or similar role Strong knowledge of: SharePoint Online / SharePoint Administration Microsoft 365 collaboration and file sharing governance Permission models, access management, external sharing policies Secure file exchange with internal and external users Experience working in audit, compliance, or regulated environments (preferred) Comfortable operating with legacy systems and outdated document platforms Fluent in English (spoken and written) Nice-to-Have / Strong Advantages Experience with ThereforeTM Document Management Platform Previous work in banking, financial services, or platform modernization projects Experience managing external and internal secure file sharing Familiarity with audit evidence collection and documentation of platform access/governance What We Offer Full remote position with flexible working setup Project dedicated to Romania Opportunity to work in a high-impact audit initiative in the banking sector Collaboration with international teams (English-speaking environment) Long-term project focused on file governance, security, and compliance Who We're Looking For A proactive and experienced SharePoint Consultant who is comfortable navigating legacy platforms, understands secure internal/external file sharing, and can support audit processes with strong documentation and governance knowledge.
