We are looking for an AWS Database Administrator to join our Client's team under a hybrid work model.At Hexa Consulting, we are more than an IT consulting company — we are a place where technological talent grows. Our mission is to build strong relationships and support the development of every team member.With projects in Nearshore, Time & Material, Service Management, and Tech Academies, you will find opportunities to learn, innovate, and grow in your career.Project Context:You will be part of an international environment, supporting mission-critical database platforms on AWS. As part of the team, you will provide 360º database layer support across multiple services and technologies, actively contributing to operational excellence and having the opportunity to influence current and future technology decisions.Key Responsibilities:Install, configure, and maintain database environments on AWSSupport and manage AWS RDS and Aurora (PostgreSQL and MySQL)Manage and optimize Amazon Redshift environmentsPerform performance tuning, workload management, and query optimizationEnsure availability, reliability, and scalability of mission-critical systemsMonitor databases and proactively identify and resolve issuesParticipate in shift-based work (team coverage of 10-hour shifts, 5 days per week)Be part of an on-call rotation (approximately one week per month)Collaborate with international teams and stakeholdersRequired Qualifications:5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator supporting mission-critical environmentsStrong experience with AWS database technologies:AWS RDS and Aurora (PostgreSQL and MySQL)Amazon RedshiftSolid background in:Installation and configurationPerformance tuningQuery optimizationWorkload managementUpper-intermediate English level (minimum B2), written and spokenNice to Have:Knowledge of additional AWS services:S3IAMLambdaCloudWatchWhy Join Us?Contract Type: Permanent / Employment contract or B2B, according to preferenceHealth Insurance: Comprehensive coverage for your well-beingHybrid Model: 3 days per week in the office (Porto)Continuous Learning: Access to a Udemy Business subscription with thousands of courses and workshopsTeam Culture: A collaborative, relaxed, and innovative environmentIf you meet the above criteria and are ready for an exciting opportunity in a dynamic environment, send us your CV
