A call is open for the award of a Research Scholarship for R&D activities to be carried out by a PhD student holding a Master's degree, within the framework of the research project Horizon RCH – Resilient Cultural Heritage at the Centre for Intercultural Studies ADMISSION

REQUIREMENTS:

a) Be enrolled, as of the date the fellowship contract is signed, in a doctoral program, whether national or international, that is duly recognized and accredited; b) Hold a master's degree in the field of Intercultural Studies, with a particular focus on research applied to the development of tangible and intangible heritage and to Resilient Cultural Heritage; c) Strong organizational skills, proactivity, responsibility, and the ability to work as part of a team; d) Proficiency in English as a working and communication language; e) Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies; f) Knowledge of research and project management support. Specific Requirements Preferential factors:

a) Preference is given to candidates who already have experience in writing, publishing, and presenting scientific articles; b) Preference is given to candidates who are under the supervision of UTP faculty members; c) Preference is given to candidates who already have experience managing and actively participating in COST actions and international research projects; d) Preference is given to candidates with prior knowledge of and experience at the CEI. The scholarship amount is €1,359.64, in accordance with the FCT table of values currently in force [ https://www.fct.pt/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Tabela-de-Valores-SMM-202... ], paid monthly, plus reimbursement of the voluntary social security contribution, in accordance with the provisions of the regulations (applicable only to contracts with a duration of 6 months or more). Selection process

The selection method to be used will be based on the following selection criteria and respective weighting: a) Academic curriculum relevant to the field of the call and the activities to be performed, scored from 0 to 20 (weighting: 50%); b) Previous experience in the field of the call, scored from 0 to 20 (weighting: 50%). Candidates may be excluded from the selection process on the following grounds: a) Failure to meet the mandatory requirements specified in Section 2; b) Candidates who obtain a score of less than 9.5 in any of the assessment components will be excluded from the selection process and will not be assessed in the subsequent component(s); c) A candidate's unavailability to provide any additional clarifications requested of them will be considered equivalent to withdrawal from the selection process.
