Head of Product Engineering (AI & Product)At CasaGPT, we are building the only AI-native ecosystem for real estate investors and professionals.Our mission is to increase confidence, credibility and certainty in real estate investment decisions — supporting rehabilitation, better deal structuring and increased housing supply, starting in Portugal and scaling globally.We are looking for a Head of Product Engineering to own the intelligence, trust and depth of the product. This is a hands-on, early-employee role, central to CasaGPT's long-term defensibility.What you'll do (Responsibilities)Own the AI & Decision CoreLead and evolve the core AI systems that power: -property sourcing & scoring-investment and project analysis-legal Q&A, due diligence and contract intelligenceEnsure models are trustworthy, explainable and conservative by designContinuously reduce false positives and improve decision confidenceBuild Hands-OnDesign AI workflows using LLMs, prompting, structured outputs and toolsWrite production code and collaborate closely with: -Backend engineers -Frontend engineers -Data and infrastructureTranslate complex AI logic into usable product featuresProduct, Users & TrustBuild feedback loops, retention and habit-forming mechanismsSupport and lead:-onboarding-demos-workshops-webinarsClearly communicate how CasaGPT supports — not replaces — human judgmentCross-Functional LeadershipWork closely with:-Commercial Director (conversion, ARPU, churn)-Marketing (positioning, use cases, authority)Ensure product decisions impact conversion, churn and ARPUAct as a product and AI spokesperson when needed (talks, content, demos)Technical Skills (Must-Have)Experience with LLMs and Generative AI systemsStrong background in AI algorithms and/or applied MLKnowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP)Experience with Computer Vision (or strong familiarity)Previous experience building chat-based systems / AI assistantsStrong hands-on experience with:-Node.js-GitFamiliarity with React.js (Vue.js and/or Next.js)Comfortable writing and reviewing production-grade codeCI/CD knowledge is a nice-to-haveProduct & Domain Skills (Critical)Strong product thinking (holistic, outcome-oriented)Ability to reason about:-risk-uncertainty-trade-offsComfortable articulating problems and solutions across teamsGenuine interest in real estate and investment, e.g.:-bought or sold property-rented or managed assets-invested or planning to investCuriosity about regulation, feasibility and deal structuringPreferred ProfileMid–Senior, ideally with a Master's degree (AI, CS, Engineering or similar)Experience building products or projects from scratchStartup, consultancy or internal venture background valuedWe also welcome:-junior or recently graduated profiles-with exceptional track record, projects or open-source workAmbition, vision and ownership matter more than titles alone.What we offerCompetitive compensationEquity shareProfit participationEarly employee role with real ownership and impactThe chance to build the brain of an AI-native real estate platform
