PE Global Recruitment are currently working with Europe's largest Data Centre construction organisation to recruit a Mechanical Engineer to join the team in Portugal. This is a full time, permanent role, which can be worked on rotation in the area. The Company:We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our clients mechanical team. The Mechanical Engineer will oversee technical project delivery including reviewing tender documentation, selection of plant and materials and submittals, coordination of the services, and oversight of the production of coordinated drawings.ResponsibilitiesManage relevant client communicationsDesign managementCoordinate work with contractors to ensure services fit togetherPrepare method statements and risk assessments for construction activitiesComplete all HVAC deliverables within a project and safety criteriaCommunicate with project team to sequence installation of pipework to meet scheduled datesAssess and manage the project commercially to validate the project on handover from estimating, and proceed through to full technical procurement of all equipment, specialist sub-contractors and suppliers Assist with the management of the project installation works to ensure a consistent high standard of site works and manage the programme through to final commissioning and handoverAssist with documenting and costing of changes to the work scopes and preparation of the monthly valuations and final accountRequirementsPrevious experience in a similar role, within a mechanical and electrical contracting environment is essentialDesign management experience is essentialBachelors' degree in Engineering or similarExcellent organisation, communication, and time management skills Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project
