The roleWe're looking for a motion-ready Senior 2D Graphic Designer to strengthen the graphic design backbone of our motion graphics and interactivity team.This is a graphic-design-first role, ideal for someone who excels in visual storytelling, composition, character design, and translating scripts into strong visual proposals built with animation in mind.You'll help define the artistic direction of projects by creating style frames, storyboards, characters, visual systems, and scene compositions that become the foundation of our animation pipeline. A solid understanding of animation principles and asset behaviour is essential to ensure smooth transitions into production.You'll also collaborate closely with the creative team, mentor junior designers, and support projects from concept through final delivery. What you'll doTranslate scripts into clear, visually compelling storyboards, style frames, characters, and visual systemsDevelop art proposals that define mood, pacing, hierarchy, and narrative flowDesign assets built specifically for motion, transitions, reveals, and interactivityVisualise complex scientific ideas, diagrams, and structures in a clear, engaging wayReview and guide junior designers' work with constructive, actionable feedbackPrepare clean, well-structured files for seamless animation handoffApply UX/UI fundamentals to interactive and branching video experiencesCollaborate closely with writers, motion designers, and art directors to maintain consistency across projects What we're looking forMust-have5+ years of professional experience in graphic design for motion or visual storytellingAdvanced skills in Adobe Creative SuiteStrong fundamentals in composition, hierarchy, clarity, and concept developmentProven experience creating storyboards, style frames, scenes, and character designsSolid understanding of animation principles (timing, anticipation, easing, staging)Experience preparing files for motion production handoffAbility to mentor junior designers and elevate team outputFluent in English with excellent communication skillsComfortable working in a Windows-based workflowNice to haveBasic or intermediate rigging knowledgeExperience with data visualisation or simplifying complex diagramsInteractive or multimedia project experienceBackground in healthcare, pharma, or scientific communicationAvailability to work on a US-aligned schedule (12:00–20:30 CET) Why join BlueNovius?100% remote, full-time positionHigh-impact projects with global pharma leadersA key role in shaping how science is visually communicatedCollaborative, curious, and supportive creative teamStrong focus on clarity, craft, and continuous learningReady to bring science to life through design and interactivity?
