Financial ControllerThe Role:We're seeking a Financial Controller to join a leading European entertainment and communications company at their Lisbon operations. This Financial Controller position plays a critical role in executing financial and accounting operations while providing strategic analysis and ensuring regulatory compliance in the dynamic new media and internet industry.Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily financial operations and accounting functions for internal administrative activitiesDeliver critical financial outputs including risk mitigation strategies and opportunity forecastingProduce accurate financial reports, forecasts, and analyses to support strategic decision-makingAnalyze and monitor costs across business areas, cost centers, and other relevant categoriesProvide executive leadership with financial information that drives organizational objectivesEnsure full compliance with local legislation, tax requirements, and industry regulationsMaintain and monitor company policies and internal controls, particularly expenditure controls, to safeguard assets and minimize fraud riskDevelop clear documentation and efficient accounting processes suited to a fast-paced, growing environmentCollaborate with UK-based Finance team and external stakeholders including banks, auditors, accountants, and legal advisersRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's, Master's, or MBA degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldMinimum 6 years of relevant experiencePrevious experience in Corporate Finance within international environmentsStrong ability to work independently with minimal supervisionDeep knowledge of IFRS accounting standardsExcellent multitasking abilities with flexibility to adjust priorities based on business needsStrong presentation and influencing skillsProactive, hands-on, solution-oriented approachFluent English (C2 level)What Makes This Financial Controller Role Unique:This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of finance and entertainment technology, supporting a fast-growing operation in one of Europe's most vibrant markets.Compensation & Benefits:Above-market salary with annual bonusShare-save plan participationHybrid working arrangement with flexible holiday policyComprehensive employee benefits programHealth insurance coverage for employee and familyLearning and development opportunities with dedicated education budgetMobile phone with data planEntertainment subscription includedPartner discounts and perksEmployee referral program with rewards
