We are seeking a highly experienced Solutions Architect to design, implement, and support advanced technology solutions within a hybrid environment, spanning on-premise data centers and multi-cloud platforms (AWS and Azure).This role is critical in enabling research and laboratory (R&I) projects across multiple global sites, working in close collaboration with the Domain Solutions Architect to ensure that applications, data flows, and infrastructure solutions meet both scientific and operational requirements.The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to balance innovation, performance, compliance, and governance in complex environments. Given the global footprint of stakeholders across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, the role requires availability within an intermediate time zone to facilitate cross-regional collaboration.Key Objectives & DeliverablesLead the technical design, architecture, and deployment of hybrid and multi-cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, and on-premise infrastructuresAct as a global technical reference for R&I laboratory environments, including desktops connected to laboratory instruments and local data centersCollaborate closely with the Domain Solutions Architect to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and long-term technology roadmapsIntegrate AI and High-Performance Computing (HPC) capabilities into laboratory and research platformsPartner with cybersecurity teams to ensure solutions comply with security, data protection, and regulatory requirementsProduce, review, and maintain technical documentation, including architecture designs, cybersecurity deliverables, and operational proceduresTroubleshoot and resolve complex distributed system issues, ensuring platform stability, resilience, and performanceMentor and support engineering teams, promoting best practices, knowledge sharing, and technical excellenceRequired Skills & ExperienceProven experience as a Senior Tech Lead, Technical Architect, or similar leadership roleStrong hands-on expertise with hybrid infrastructures, including on-premise data centers and cloud platforms (AWS and Azure)Solid understanding of enterprise architecture principles, system integrations, and distributed systemsExperience supporting research, laboratory, or scientific environments (R&I), including data-intensive or instrument-connected systemsKnowledge of AI platforms, HPC environments, or compute-intensive workloadsStrong collaboration skills and experience working with global, cross-functional teamsExcellent problem-solving abilities and experience handling complex technical incidentsStrong documentation and communication skillsNice to HaveExperience in regulated environments (pharma, life sciences, research, or similar)Exposure to DevOps, automation, and Infrastructure as CodeBackground in cybersecurity frameworks and compliance-driven architecturesKey CompetenciesTechnical leadership and decision-makingStrategic thinking with hands-on executionStakeholder management across regions and domainsBalance between innovation, governance, and operational stability
