Senior AI Engineer ConsultantLocation: Lisbon; PortugalLanguage: English fluentRole MissionAs an AI Engineer, you will contribute to the design and delivery of next-generation, AI-powered capabilities, with a strong emphasis on Generative AI and Large Language Models. You will be involved in turning advanced AI concepts into production-ready solutions that create tangible value.You will help design robust AI services and supporting components, including data flows, interfaces, and integrations with internal and external systems. Working alongside product, engineering, and operational teams, you will translate business needs into scalable AI-driven solutions.A key part of the role is to continuously improve engineering practices related to performance, reliability, and security, while actively monitoring advances in AI and sharing knowledge across the organization to foster technical excellence.Responsibilities :Knowledge-driven AI applicationsDesign and implement intelligent systems that enable users to interact with large and complex information sets through natural language, supporting use cases such as automated insights, report generation, and conversational interfaces.Enterprise AI foundationsParticipate in building a shared AI ecosystem intended to support multiple products and business domains. This includes standardizing tools, frameworks, and architectures that accelerate the adoption of advanced AI capabilities across teams.Cross-technology collaborationWork closely with engineers from diverse technical backgrounds to integrate AI components into existing systems. You will contribute to architectural decisions and technology selection within a collaborative, iterative delivery model.Profile :Strong software engineering fundamentals with a focus on backend development, particularly using PythonDemonstrated experience designing, building, and deploying AI or Generative AI solutions in real-world environmentsSolid understanding of commonly used AI frameworks, libraries, and model integration patternsHands-on experience with at least one major cloud providerStrong analytical mindset and the ability to solve complex problems collaborativelyAbility to communicate technical ideas clearly to both engineering and non-engineering audiencesA genuine agile mindset centered on teamwork, continuous learning, and knowledge sharingComfortable working in fast-evolving technical environments and delivering outcomes within agreed timelinesHigh attention to detail with a strong focus on solution quality and performanceClear, structured, and effective communication skillsProfessional fluency in English; additional languages are an advantageProactive, collaborative, and driven by continuous improvementInterested in this opportunity?
