NET & Angular) Join a retail technology project focused on the core software behind point-of-sale (POS) systems. This role is approximately 80% backend, combining development in established .
NET technologies with architectural decisions and technical guidance. 📝 MAIN TASKS
• Develop, maintain, and enhance core POS applications using C#, .
NET Framework, and Windows Forms.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and the evolution of existing applications.
• Provide technical guidance, support colleagues, and contribute to code reviews and development best practices.
• Design and optimize SQL Server queries and database structures to improve performance and reliability.
• Develop and maintain backend services and microservices.
• Contribute to frontend development using Angular when required.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues affecting business-critical retail applications.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams within an Agile environment, using Azure DevOps to manage development activities.

YOUR PROFILE
AND SKILLS
• More than 5 years of professional experience in .
NET development.
• Strong knowledge of C#, .
NET Framework, and Windows Forms.
• Proven experience maintaining and evolving legacy applications built with older .
NET technologies.
• Advanced SQL Server skills, including query optimization and database performance tuning.
• Experience contributing to software architecture or technical design decisions.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring developers, including informal technical leadership.
• Experience developing and integrating microservices.
• Familiarity with Angular and willingness to contribute to frontend tasks.
• Experience using Azure DevOps for development and project management.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with retail or POS systems would be an advantage.
• Fluency in Portuguese and a minimum B2 level of English.
• Availability for a hybrid position in Lisbon, with two days per week at the office in the Colombo area.
