As a Mid-Level Network Security Engineer, you will be working for our client in the banking and financial services sector, within an enterprise IT production environment. You will focus on operational maintenance, network segmentation and firewall management, keeping security infrastructure highly available and compliant while acting as a reference point for network security across technical teams.
Your main
responsibilities:
Diagnose malfunctions, clear flow blockages and ensure the high availability of security infrastructure in line with agreed SLAs. Implement, code, maintain and optimize firewall policies and segmentation rules following security best practices. Act as a subject matter expert for network security: provide guidance, training and alerts, and verify compliance against IT security standards. Handle incidents, requests and changes end to end, keeping documentation up to date. Interface with technical experts across other IT and infrastructure domains. You're ideal for this role if you have: At least 3 years of experience in network security within IT production operations (incidents, requests, changes, documentation). Hands-on experience with NSX-T / VCF9, Palo Alto and Fortinet, including coding and implementing firewall security rules and micro-segmentation. Practical experience with incident and change management aligned with ITIL. Experience in firewall rule optimization and automation. Experience working to SLAs and quality-of-service targets. Language Required for the role: Fluent English, plus either French or Portuguese.
