Director of Engineering – Hybrid
We are partnering with a fast growing company to hire a Director of Engineering to lead multiple engineering teams.
The Role
You'll lead and inspire several high-performing engineering teams, setting the technical direction and culture across the organisation.
You'll be responsible for ensuring systems deliver outstanding reliability and performance, while coaching and growing leaders beneath you.
Working closely with Product and Business stakeholders, you'll translate strategy into scalable, high-impact technology outcomes.
What we're looking for:
Strong engineering background - ideally hands-on before moving into leadership
7+ years leading multiple software engineering teams or departments
Experience in high-frequency, transaction-heavy environments
Deep understanding of distributed systems, reliability, and scalability
Proven ability to build high-performing, motivated teams with strong culture and engagement
Strategic mindset - able to balance long-term vision with pragmatic execution
Experience in banking, acquiring, or payments is a major plus
Salary:€120,000 - €140,000 DOE
Location:Hybrid - 2 days per week in office
