The Role – MEP Lead As MEP Lead, you will take full responsibility for the coordination, management, and delivery of all mechanical and electrical services on a major data centre project in Portugal. This is a senior site based role with a direct impact on programme, quality, commissioning readiness, and client satisfaction.
You will lead the MEP function from late design through construction and into commissioning and handover, working closely with construction management, design teams, specialist subcontractors, and the end client.

Key Responsibilities
Lead all MEP activities across design coordination, installation, testing, and commissioningManage MEP engineers, supervisors, and specialist subcontractors on siteDrive quality control across mechanical and electrical installationsEnsure MEP works are delivered safely, in line with project and statutory requirementCoordinate MEP sequencing with the wider construction programmeChair and contribute to MEP coordination and technical meetingsReview and approve MEP design information, technical submissions, and method statementsTrack progress against programme milestones and report on MEP performanceIdentify and resolve technical or installation issues before they impact programmeLead commissioning readiness, systems integration, and final handoverAbout YouDegree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related disciplineStrong background in MEP delivery on large scale construction projectsProven experience working as an MEP Lead, MEP Manager, or Senior MEP EngineerExperience on data centre, mission critical, pharmaceutical, or industrial projectsExcellent understanding of MEP systems, installation methodologies, and commissioning processesConfident leader with the ability to manage multi discipline teams and subcontractorsDetail focused, programme aware, and quality drivenComfortable working in an international, fast paced site environmentWhat's on Offer
