As a Senior Mainframe COBOL Developer, you will be working for our client, a leader in enterprise-grade IT solutions, focused on delivering robust systems and innovative digital services. You will contribute to critical projects by developing high-performance COBOL applications, integrating APIs, and applying Agile methodologies to ensure scalable and flexible solutions for clients across diverse industries.
Your main responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and optimize COBOL applications on mainframe platforms, ensuring high reliability and performance.
Design and implement APIs to facilitate seamless integration across legacy and modern systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver Agile-driven development cycles, promoting continuous improvement.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal operation.
Contribute to technical documentation and best practices to support ongoing system enhancements.
Engage proactively with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
Uphold security standards and compliance within all development activities.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
At least 4 years of proven experience in COBOL development on mainframe systems.
Strong knowledge of API design and integration techniques.
Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools.
Good command of English and French, both written and spoken.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
It is a strong plus if you have:
Certification in Agile practices or related frameworks.
Familiarity with modern DevOps tools and continuous integration environments.
Language required for the role:
English: Communicative level.
French: Proficient level.
Eligibility for the role:
