Engineering Manager, Platform – EuropeLocation: Europe – Fully RemoteAccountabilitiesLead the architecture, strategy, and execution of core platform technologies, promoting best practices across the organizationDrive adoption of modern infrastructure automation, reliability engineering, and integrated security principlesAct as a bridge between platform and application development teams to ensure alignment and collaborationMentor and develop team members, fostering professional growth and technical excellenceOversee the delivery of scalable, secure, and cost‐efficient platform servicesEnsure adherence to high‐quality standards through testing, observability, and security‐by‐design practicesDefine clear short‐ and long‐term goals for the platform roadmap and ensure timely executionCollaborate with recruiting teams to attract and retain top engineering talentRequirementsMinimum 5 years of hands‐on experience in cloud‐native environments with distributed systems and platform developmentAt least 2 years of experience managing Platform, DevOps, or SRE teams, including mentoring and performance managementProven success in planning and executing complex infrastructure initiatives from concept to deliveryExpertise with AWS services (EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.) and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)Strong proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, and observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or PrometheusDeep understanding of event‐driven architecture, messaging systems (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ), and cloud database managementFamiliarity with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated security testingExcellent communication skills with fluency in EnglishPreferred: experience with developer experience (DX) improvement, cost optimization, or highly regulated industries (Fintech, Telecom, Gaming)BenefitsFully remote position with a flexible, distributed work environmentComprehensive health insurance coverageWork‐from‐anywhere stipend and annual learning and wellness creditsAnnual all‐expenses‐paid company retreat in a beautiful destinationOpportunity to collaborate with a globally distributed, diverse, and inclusive team
