Grades 6–12 French and Spanish Teacher – Maternity Cover Start Date:
October** Position Overview: TASIS Portugal is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced French and Spanish Teacher to join our faculty temporarily to provide maternity cover from October **.
The successful candidate will teach French and Spanish to students across Grades 6–12 and will be responsible for delivering engaging, student-centered lessons that develop language proficiency, confidence, and an appreciation of Francophone and Spanish-speaking cultures.
The role requires an educator who can create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment, differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a diverse international student body, and work collaboratively with colleagues within the Languages Department.
Experience teaching secondary-level French and Spanish is essential.
Previous experience with international curricula, including IGCSE and/or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, would be an advantage.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in French, Spanish, Modern Foreign Languages, Education, or a related field Teaching certification or licensure A minimum of three years of relevant teaching experience Demonstrated experience teaching both French and Spanish at the secondary level Strong subject knowledge and a passion for language learning A high level of English language proficiency Experience working in an international school environment is desirable Experience with IGCSE and/or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is an advantage What We Offer: TASIS Portugal is a vibrant and diverse community of educators and learners.
