How You'll Shape Our Story:
As our
Operations Manager
, you will hold a key role in professionalizing and scaling our Hardware procurement engine. This is a high-impact, strategic role where you will define how we buy, who we partner with, and how we optimize our infrastructure costs. Your mission includes:
Team Leadership:
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of two
, ensuring they are empowered to hit operational targets while aligning with our broader hardware procurement strategy.
Operational Performance & Scalability:
You own the "heartbeat" of our hardware availability. Your mission is to ensure our supply chain never becomes a bottleneck, optimizing lead times and production schedules to match our aggressive deployment speed.
Strategic Hardware Sourcing & Negotiation:
Partner with the Deployment Operations Director to
co-lead high-stakes negotiations
with our primary hardware manufacturers. You will not be desk-bound; you will
visit our suppliers
across Europe to audit facilities, maintain relationship health, and ensure our partners are deeply aligned with Powerdot's quality and delivery standards.
Budgeting & Capital Allocation:
You will lead the preparation and management of our hardware procurement budget. You will be responsible for a
significant multi-million euro annual spend
, ensuring capital is deployed efficiently to meet our ambitious pan-European growth targets.
Flagship Innovation Project:
Drive the transversal launch of
new, innovative energy storage and grid-edge solutions
. This is a first-of-its-kind initiative for the company, requiring you to coordinate across technical and operational teams to deploy disruptive infrastructure.
Hardware TCO Strategy:
Develop and evolve our
Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) model
for our Chargers. You will be the primary driver in identifying cost-saving levers and collaborating with technical teams to improve the long-term profitability of our infrastructure.
Systems Architecture & Governance:
Design the operational blueprint for how we source and deploy assets. You will build high-performance sourcing frameworks, RFQ designs, and automated workflows in collaboration with Finance to ensure we scale with surgical precision.
Centralized Asset Oversight:
Reinforce a centrally-led procurement model for core assets (EV Chargers, LVMBs, Transformers, etc.), empowering local teams to execute while maintaining strategic alignment and central governance.
Contract Oversight:
Oversee strategic supplier and charger contract management, focusing on SLA adherence and risk mitigation.
This Is About You, Not Us ??:
The "Swiss Army Knife" Profile:
You have
4+ years of experience
in operations consulting or have held a similar high-stakes operations role in a fast-paced startup.
Financial & Commercial Acumen:
You are comfortable managing multi-million budgets and understand how procurement decisions flow through to the P&L and Balance Sheet.
Technical & Commercial Hybrid:
A degree in
Engineering
(highly preferred) or Business. You can talk technical specs with our Hardware team and financial strategy with a Director in the same afternoon.
Self-Starter:
You are a natural builder. You don't just suggest strategies; you have the hands-on capability to implement them from scratch.
Analytical Mindset:
You are comfortable with complex data, TCO modeling, and developing standardized frameworks that scale.
