Our client is a well-established international contractor with a strong presence in telecommunications and civil engineering infrastructure across Europe.
Operating in 4 European locations, the company is known for delivering long‐term projects in the energy and utilities sector.
With major projects underway in Germany, they are looking for motivated engineers to join their growing teams.About the Role
The Junior Construction Manager supports the delivery of civil/groundworks for the construction of fibre‐optic networks in Germany.
This is an ideal role for engineering graduates from Portugal who want to gain international experience after their studies.
The Junior Construction Manager leads the team on site, taking responsibility for quality, deadlines and documentation, while working in an international environment on the digital transformation of Europe.
Rotation between projects is possible after 3–4 months.Responsibilities
Supervision & planning: monitoring on-site works, schedules and coordination of activitiesTeam leadership: managing a crew of approx.
8 site operativesDelivery: completing works on time, on budget and to quality standardsCoordination & reporting: liaising with telecom operators and maintaining documentationMaterials & logistics: managing equipment, vehicles and daily allocation of workersHealth & safety and compliance: adhering to local permits and HSE standardsRisk & cost: identifying risks and managing resources efficientlyRequirements
Engineering degree: civil, structural, environmental, electrical, mechanical or relatedGood command of English (spoken and written)Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeEU citizenship & EU Driving licence (required)Package
Salary: EUR 36,**,000 gross per year (total, including a monthly tax-free allowance) + benefitsChristmas bonus: 70% of one month's gross salaryAccommodation: single‐occupancy apartment provided by the company (tax-free)Company car + fuel card for every engineerFlights: min. 1 return ticket per project;
further travel support possibleHoliday: 24 days per year (including company shutdowns: 3 weeks in August, last week of December, first week of January)About SSA Group
