Android Developer
We are looking for an experienced Android Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining innovative biometric applications for Android, enabling advanced features such as fingerprint scanning, facial recognition, and other biometric identification methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance biometric registration and verification features within our Android applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, product, back-end) to define and implement new biometric functionalities.
- Integrate and maintain biometric APIs and third-party biometric libraries.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot application issues, focusing on performance optimization and reliability.
- Conduct thorough testing, including unit and functional testing, to ensure high-quality and secure biometric features.
- Contribute to technical discussions, offering insights and expertise in biometric technology.
- Stay updated with industry advancements in biometric technology to apply best practices and new features in development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a similar role
- Proven Android development experience, with at least one published Android app.
- Experience with push notifications and cloud messaging APIs.
Competencies:
- Proficiency in Android SDK, Java, and Kotlin.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs for backend connectivity.
- Understanding of Google's Android design guidelines and user interface standards.
- Proficient in version control tools (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with performance and memory tuning tools and continuous integration practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
The Candidate should be able to commute daily (Monday to Friday) to the company office in Santa Maria da Feira.
