Job Description

The mission of the client development team is to support global and regional sales management to define and execute the client strategy via data analytics, competitor benchmarking, market intelligence and qualitative insights collected across GM teams. The Client Development team facilitates the client strategic planning process, including defining the client segmentation and designing and executing various client initiatives. Global Markets or Investment Banking experience is preferred (Business Intelligence/ Data Analytics / Finance/ Data Engineer).

Main Tasks:

Team management: manage the day to day needs of the Portugal Client Development team with a focus on enhancing what the team delivers across the organization, ensure the team is building their skills and continuously improve the level at which they operate.  Expert

This individual will also be responsible for leading/delivering projects in addition to managing the team (ie “producing manager”);
Ability to understand the business strategy and ensure it is communicated and embedded into the thought process for all workstreams.  Expert

Developing analytics and strategy around our client segmentation and KPIs to measure performance against them using internal and external data;
Building a strong working relationship with the regional client development teams and cross-functional teams including GCA, business managers, COOs.  Expert

Ensuring client referential and data integrity across all key data sets, contribute to client data governance; Implement framework to continuously automate and scale our analytical capability and digitalize our core processes from end to end (including leveraging opportunities from AI and LLM models piloted across the bank).  Expert

Oversee the prioritization and delivery of cross-functional teams that support Client Development; Promote the usage of Client Development’s analytical capability and tools.  Expert

Technical Skills:

Academic background in Engineering, Economics, Computing, Mathematics, Statistics or related fields  Mastery

Managing a team of analysts (5+ years)  Expert

Data Analytics (8+ years) using Python, SQL and ETL processes Data visualization tools Tableau  Expert

Soft Skills:

Be pro-active, enthusiastic and able to work well in a team  Mastery

Strong project management skills, ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines  Expert

- Ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization

- Strong data analysis/interpretation & problem-solving skills

- Strong interest and passion for data integrity and controls;
Clear understanding of how changes may impact other processes, reports and groups;
Attention to detail in all components of work.
