Lead Front-End Flutter Developer role for a Non-Custodial Crypto Wallet

Our client, a rapidly growing non-custodial crypto wallet, is looking for a Lead Front-End Flutter Developer to lead our application's overall development.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a talented Lead Front-End Flutter Developer to join our team and take charge of the front-end development for our applications. You will play a critical role in leading the development efforts, working closely with our distributed team in India ensuring the delivery of high-quality visually appealing applications. This role requires a strong technical background in Flutter, leadership skills, and a passion for the crypto space.


Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

  • Oversee the front-end development of our applications, leveraging Flutter to create high-quality user experiences.

  • Partner with the Backend Lead to establish efficient and effective request/response structures for APIs.

  • Manage delivery pipelines and build automation, collaborating with DevOps to ensure seamless integration.

  • Enforce a structured branching model in alignment with Jira, effectively utilising the Atlassian ecosystem to streamline development workflows.

  • Maintain multiple app environments using app flavours, including development, testing, staging, and production.

Development and Implementation:

  • Leverage MVVM architecture using BLoC and Cubits to implement robust state management throughout the app.

  • Implement re-usable code using singleton services, injected using GetIt.

  • Implement UI components in a modular and precise manner, adhering to the mockups provided by the design team.

  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications through comprehensive testing and optimization.

  • Implement strong deep linking to facilitate services like WalletConnect, share functionality, and push notifications.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into functional front-end solutions.

  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with the development team in India, ensuring alignment on project goals and timelines.

  • Conduct PR reviews, providing constructive feedback to maintain high code quality within the development cycles.

Innovation and Improvement:

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Flutter, keeping abreast of new features and improvements.

  • Oversee the optimization of application performance, ensuring the apps run efficiently on all targeted devices.

  • Propose and implement improvements to enhance the overall development process and product quality.

Experience with Integrations:

  • Be familiar with GoRouter, especially for navigation using branches.

  • Implement and maintain local storage solutions using Hive DB.

  • Utilise the Web3Auth Flutter SDK for non-custodial wallet generation.

  • Facilitate build distribution using Firebase App Distribution, particularly using automated Bitbucket Pipelines.

  • Ensure crash and non-fatal logging via Crashlytics, actively tracking and improving the stability rate of the application.

  • Use Firebase Realtime Database for up-to-date token market data

  • Use Firebase Auth for login/sign up flows.

  • Use Fireblocks NCW for managed wallet support.

  • Understand the limitations of Flutter SVG support and maximise the use of SVG to optimise the app package size.

  • Implement in-app animations using Lottie to enhance user experience.

  • Utilise Fastlane features, such as Match, for managing pipelines and automating release processes.

  • Develop a robust push notification system using Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).

  • Develop support for dApps using services like WalletConnect.

  • Use Moralis APIs to retrieve data about blockchain transactions.


Who we are looking for:

  • 6+ years of overall experience developing mobile applications (native or hybrid). With a track record of building and delivering high-quality Flutter applications in recent years.

  • 6+ years of experience integrating RESTful APIs and collaborating effectively with back-end teams.

  • 4+ years of experience working in Agile development environments, such as Scrum or Kanban, with a focus on iterative development and continuous improvement.

  • 4+ years of experience with Dart programming language, Flutter framework, and adherence to best practices for mobile app development.

  • Experience with MVVM architecture for apps, Flutter state management techniques, Firebase products, crypto wallets and Fireblocks.

  • Enthusiasm for the crypto space and a genuine desire to create user-friendly and secure applications in alignment with industry trends and advancements.
