A Centre of Expertise located in Portugal, associated with a leading global financial group, is dedicated to revolutionizing the banking sector by developing innovative solutions for the business, operations, and work culture.

 

Part of the Global Financial Services division, the center leverages technology to foster financial expertise within its key business areas – Corporate & Investment Banking and Asset & Wealth Management – and offers support to the various entities of the group.

 

Based in Porto, the center currently employs more than 2,400 staff members from over 30 nationalities across three primary departments: Information Technology, Banking Support Activities, and Compliance. These departments collaborate in an integrated, inclusive, and cross-functional manner, enhancing and generating value for all the business lines and platforms of the group. The project in Porto is among the most substantial Human Resources investments globally by the group.

 

The team in Porto is known for its disruptive mindset and culture of proximity and agility, mirroring the organization's objective to transform traditional banking on a global scale, which is a perfect fit with the Portuguese dynamic and entrepreneurial ecosystem.

 

In 2024, the center in Porto received the Top Employer Portugal accreditation for the second year from the Top Employers Institute. This certification lauds the center's commitment to excellent people practices, following in the footsteps of the group's head office in France, which has been named Top Employer France for eight consecutive years.

 

Some of the expected responsibilities will be :

  • ·      Develop and implement Java-based applications, integrating web services/APIs using JAX-WS and REST/JSON.
  • ·      Construct dynamic and responsive user interfaces with Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • ·      Manage object-relational mapping using JPA/Hibernate.
  • ·      Utilize Spring and Springboot frameworks to develop scalable applications.
  • ·      Design and maintain database schemas and queries for Oracle databases.
  • ·      Adhere to continuous integration practices using Git, Maven, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
  • ·      Analyze requirements and design solutions with a strong problem-solving approach.




Requirements

We are looking for a Developer (French Speaker) with:

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience developing in JAVA

 

Qualifications

 

  • Deep knowledge of Java eco-system:
  • Web sevices / API (JAX-WS, REST/JSON)
  • JPA / Hibernate
  • 2+ years of experience with AngularJS and/or Angular
  • JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, CSS
  • Knowledge of frameworks Spring, Springboot
  • Understanding relational databases such as Oracle (SQL)
  • Experience with continuous integration principles and tools
  • Git, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory
  • Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Teamwork
  • French speaker - mandatory
