SHE Officer

Mission:

To ensure the specialized and preventive activities and safety of the installation that require a high degree of responsibility, with the main objective of complying with legislation and internal policies in order to prevent the occurrence of accidents and incidents with possible damage or loss, as well as ensuring the proper functioning of the entire installation.

Responsibilities:

Organize and carry out technical activities associated with their areas of expertise within the scope of their organizational unit; Actively participate in SHE&S projects and efforts on site, as requested; Support and monitoring identified hazards, such as: Air Contamination, Noise, Chemicals in the air, Dust, etc...; Support in the preparation and safety monitoring of high-risk work, by completing permit to work (PTW); Preparing studies and carrying out tasks requiring more complex technical knowledge; Support the management of external entities and general services; Ensuring the day-to-day running and management of the department in which they work, in the absence of their manager; Making day-to-day decisions in line with their level of responsibility and specialization; Ensuring compliance with the occupational health and safety rules defined by the company, namely accident prevention, action in the event of an emergency and proper use of EPI’s; Ensure compliance with the company's rules on quality and the environment; Collecting information and documents from the differences areas associated with Safety, in order to help with document management (key ring forms, operational work sheets, permits to work (PTW), others); Providing training on safety-related issues in the activities under their responsibility; Report unsafe situations or acts on IBM Notes/accident and near miss recording platform Participate in occupational risk assessments and the evaluation of exposure scenarios; Participate in Infocenter meetings and present safety-related information; Ensure safety inductions for new employees and service providers; Being part of the Company's Emergency Structure and fulfilling the responsibilities assigned to them Other duties and projects as assigned by your line manager.

Requirements:

Degree in areas relevant to Safety (Environmental Health, Safety Engineering or Chemical/Industrial/Mechanical). Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Occupational Health and Safety and/or the Chemical Industry Professional title of Occupational Safety Technician Level VI – Mandatory CAP's Certificate Good knowledge of English Good knowledge of MS Office Problem solving and proactive attitude Performance focused Teamwork Analysis and resolution Quality orientation Good attention to detail Interpersonal relationships Responsibility
