SAP recently decided to combine and harmonize all SAP Sovereign Cloud offerings, establishing an end-to-end process for the Public Sector and regulated industries. The newly created Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit is part of SAP Product Engineering with responsibility across the relevant Sovereign Cloud portfolio of SAP. Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations is collaborating closely with all Board areas to establish a harmonized, scalable, and consistent offering with transparent and standardized deliverables. 

About the Team
Join our dynamic team as we embark on a mission to unify and enhance SAP Sovereign Cloud offerings, revolutionizing the end-to-end process for the Public Sector and regulated industries. The newly formed Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit, a pivotal part of SAP Product Engineering, is entrusted with overseeing SAP's Sovereign Cloud portfolio. Our mission is to collaborate seamlessly with all board areas, fostering harmonization, scalability, and transparency in our offerings.

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) to join our Technology & Engineering Products Group within the recently established Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations organization.

Role Overview:
As a DevOps Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in our team's mission, which includes:

New Engineering Development (Research and Development): Innovate and pioneer new solutions.

Upkeep and Maintenance (Refactoring): Optimize and enhance existing systems.

Problem Solving (Support): Troubleshoot and provide solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will collaborate closely with product and tool owners, program managers, developers, security experts, architects, and global security colleagues to define and implement the infrastructure toolset essential for SAP Sovereign Cloud operations. Your tasks will encompass proof of concepts (POCs) and productive tool development and integration, providing you with hands-on experience in various DevOps tasks.

Qualifications:
Candidates should meet the following requirements:

University degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of technical professional experience Proficiency in technologies such as Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) Strong knowledge of public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, and Azure) and their product offerings. Previous experience in enterprise-level team. Experience with scripting languages. Openness to learning new methods and technologies Experience with Kubernetes is a plus Experience in SAP Product Offerings is a plus Specifically in-depth experience with S/4HANA, S/4HANA PCE and IBP Strong decision-making skills and a can-do attitude. Methodological and conceptual skills paired with analytical thinking. Persistence, self-motivation, and the ability to thrive under pressure. Fluency in written and spoken English.

Work Experience:

3+ years of professional experience in Cloud Delivery-related fields and technologies.

3+ years of cloud automation experience.
