Managing Director (m/f/d) Portugal

Our international and agile team is searching for a motivated person to work as managing director (f/m/d) for our Portugal subsidiary. You enjoy working in a dedicated, dynamic and international environment that aims for high-performance engineering solutions in aerospace technology.

Your Tasks

•Drive the operations and effective management of RFA’s site in Portugal
•Continuous improvement of business plan of the subsidiary to identify new business opportunities and grow the company.
•Enforce cooperation with Portuguese & European space authorities to ensure their support
•Providing strategic advice to the board and chairperson from on-site circumstances 
•Establish a strategic relationship and partnership with local partners & suppliers 
•Conduct communication with local authorities to ensure legal guidelines and regulations
•Act as the single point of contact on-site and as public relations representative of the company in ways that strengthen its profile

Your Qualifications

•Degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or related discipline 
•Proven experience as Managing Director or other managerial position
•Demonstrable experience in developing and executing business plans
•Excellent organisational and leadership skills
•Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
•Experience and contact with Portuguese authorities is advantageous
•Personal mobility to be available at all RFA’s sites
•Mandatory fluent oral and written English skills (all day-to-day activities are performed in English)
•Mandatory fluent Portuguese skills
•German considered as a plus
•Excellent communication strong lateral thinking skills, high social intelligence, and the ability to solve problems independently and as part of a team
