Having around 220 specialized human resources Thales Portugal has a strong capability to design, develop, and deploy systems and services efficiently in the Defence, Security (Critical Information Systems, Critical Infrastructure and Banking) and Transportation markets.

TBSS acts as a shared service centre for a number of Thales countries for various key tasks associated to finance, reconciliation, procurement and supply chain. This position will ensure suppliers and staff as well as others are paid on time and correctly. You will have a regular interaction with the P2P Manager, Procurement, Finance and our suppliers across a number of countries.

Responsibilities:

Run and validate preliminary payment files from the AP Ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Collaborate with relevant teams to obtain necessary business approvals for payment files. Circulate preliminary payment files for review and approval by appropriate stakeholders. Finalize approved payment files by incorporating necessary changes or adjustments. Process finalized payment files onto the Group payment tool, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. Reconcile payment details and records to ensure proper tracking and documentation. Adhere to internal controls and company policies while processing payments.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience in payment processing or accounts payable roles (desired) Strong understanding of payment processing procedures and best practices. Proficient in utilizing financial systems, such as ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and payment tools. Fluent in English, with strong communication skills both written and spoken. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Proficient in MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
