Here, you’ll be able to design and implement Cloud Native solutions for start-ups, scale-ups, and some of the biggest companies in Europe—alongside an international, multidisciplinary team – all from our offices in Leiria, Lisbon and Viseu (so far)

What you can expect

  • To be part of a talented and international team of engineers, product managers, and designers to build user-friendly software from idea to final product 
  • Translate business objectives, user needs, and technical constraints into multiple, easily comprehensible design proposals
  • Clearly articulate your design decisions to your team and stakeholders using clear, non-design language. Your solutions should be versatile and thoughtful.
  • To suggest and propose new ways of doing things and engage proactively in product discussions and lead design reviews, offering constructive feedback and solutions 
  • To be involved in the entire development of our design process - from crafting engaging visuals, and employing critical thinking, to leveraging research to steer design choices, so all decisions have a tremendous impact 
  • To be bold enough to risk - fail more, so you win more ✅ 
Skills and Qualifications

As a Product Designer at xgeeks, you'll be part of a smart and supportive cross-discipline team, including software architects, data strategists, and cloud experts, to ensure full-stack alignment in our Cloud Native Acceleration projects. You'll be at the forefront of end-to-end design processes, and your design skills will be key to driving exceptional product experiences.

Key Requirements 

  • At least 2 years of experience in Product Design
  • Ability to select and apply appropriate prototyping methods to validate concepts
  • Ability to understand the different stages of product development and can design artifacts with appropriate levels of detail, ensuring time-efficient and effective design processes
  • Experience in taking a design from concept to final product, handling everything in between
  • Proficiency with current UI design tools, such as Figma, among other relevant design tools
  • Experience with collaborative and documentation tools like Confluence
  • Experience in designing for both web and native platforms
  • Knowledge of developing and working with full-stack design systems
  • Familiarity with ticketing workflows
  • Ability to work in agile methodologies and with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to speak and write in English

  • Experience working in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn complex concepts
  • Your design portfolio to showcase your previous work and design projects (this can provide us with valuable insights into your skills and creativity)
