We are looking for a DevOps Manager, with 8+ years of experience for an exciting and challenging position

This is a full-time, hybrid position (2 days in the office) located in Central Lisbon.

Requirements:

• Over 8 years of professional experience in DevOps/Cloud implementations
• Extensive experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based infrastructure across multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in leveraging cloud-native services, optimizing resource utilization, and implementing cost-effective solutions.
• Mastery in automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment pipelines using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, or Chef.
• Advanced knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform, with experience in version control and automation.
• Deep understanding of IaC principles and best practices.
• Expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, and deploying applications.
• Proficient with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, and experience integrating them with version control systems and testing frameworks.
• Advanced knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Experience in designing, deploying, and scaling containerized applications in production environments.
• Proficiency in implementing monitoring and observability solutions for infrastructure, applications, and services using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
• Experience in establishing comprehensive monitoring strategies and proactive alerting mechanisms.
• Proven track record in FinOps practices, including cost control, process optimization, and automation for environment management.
• Proficiency in Terraform, container management (Docker, Kubernetes), and environment automation.
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration to establish and align environment standards across development, testing, and production.
• Strong understanding of FinOps principles, cloud cost governance, and comprehensive environment management.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience with cost management tools.

• Skilled in using monitoring and reporting tools to track real-time cost and performance metrics across all environments.

• Act as a primary point of contact for issues related to development, testing, and production environments, providing support and expertise across teams.

• Resolve environment-related issues promptly to maintain integrity, reliability, and alignment with project specifications.

• Proactively support teams in environment management, ensuring stability and reducing downtime in production and testing phases.

• Facilitate communication between development, testing, and operations teams to ensure consistent standards and smooth DevOps processes.

• Provide regular updates and comprehensive reports to stakeholders on environment status, performance, and utilization.

• Serve as the primary contact for environment-related topics, promoting cross-team collaboration and consistent practices.

• Identify and implement improvements and standardization opportunities within DevOps processes across all stages.

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, ensuring clarity and consistency in DevOps.

• Assess, adopt, and promote new technologies to support innovation in DevOps.

• Establish and track KPIs to measure environment utilization, performance, and effectiveness in supporting project goals.

Soft skills:

• Experience in providing technical guidance and advocating for DevOps best practices.
• Experience diagnosing technical issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
• Ability to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, system failures, and production incidents efficiently.
